What is a bacaro veneziano?
A bacaro veneziano is a typical Venetian tavern, known for its informal and welcoming atmosphere. The bacaro is a place where locals meet to socialize and enjoy a glass of wine, called “ombra”, accompanied by small snacks known as “cicchetti”. The cicchetti are like Spanish tapas and can include a variety of ingredients such as meatballs, sarde in saor (marinated sardines), crostini with mantecato cod, fried vegetables, cheeses and cold cuts.

On a practical level, the bacaro veneziano is extremely functional: the cicchetti, being small snacks, are quick to prepare and they allow us to create a menu with a wide range of options: with small adjustments, they become vegetarian or vegan or gluten free.
Regarding the atmosphere, instead, we take advantage of the increasing attention to natural, artisanal and high-quality wines (all intrinsic characteristic of the bacaro), as well as people’s desire to have fun, relax and make new friends. Our guests will be able to enjoy a glass of wine while socializing in an informal and welcoming atmosphere.

The venue will be characterized by a refined style and attention to details. The furniture will be simple but elegant: there will be a small workshop/kitchen that will be used to prepare the dishes, a counter and seating (no more than ten tables). The bacaro will be informal but refined, welcoming but polished
OUR MENU
The menu will include a wise selection of wines and aperitifs from the Venetian tradition accompanied by sandwiches, cicchetti and cold cuts from Italy. All will be characterized by high-quality food and drinks, a conscious choice of the best raw materials and 100% Italian production. We will have a distinguished selection of wines and we will focus on bubbles, serving mainly sparkling wines of high quality (we will also, of course, have a selection of red wine, rosé wine etc.)
OUR TRADITION
We will also serve espresso and its typical Italian variations always keeping well in mind the culinary traditions of our country (we are going to communicate very clearly the Italian authenticity of our bacaro by serving only coffee made in the Italian way)

Our team will not be composed by waiters and waitresses but by the “oste”: a person that is always smiley and friendly and that will do his/her best to make you feel welcomed. The oste will help you choose the best cicchetto for you and he/she will always be down for a chit chat. His/her aim is to make you feel at home while offering you the best service and serving you only high-quality food and drinks.
